RCU ( REDUCTION CONTROL UNIT FOR CNG / LPG SYSTEM)
About RCU(Reduction Control Unit)
A reduction control unit (RCU) is an important component of an industrial gas supply system. The RCU is responsible for reducing the pressure of the incoming high-pressure gas to a lower pressure suitable for industrial use.
The RCU operates based on the principle of pressure reduction through a series of valves and regulators. The incoming high-pressure gas enters the RCU and passes through a safety valve, which ensures that the pressure does not exceed a safe limit. The gas then flows through a filter to remove any impurities that could damage the downstream components.
After the filter, the gas enters the first stage regulator, which reduces the pressure to an intermediate level. The intermediate pressure gas then flows through a second stage regulator, which further reduces the pressure to the desired level for industrial use.
The RCU also includes a pressure gauge to monitor the gas pressure, as well as a pressure relief valve to prevent over-pressurization of the system. In addition, the RCU may have a flow meter to measure the amount of gas being used and a shut-off valve to stop the flow of gas in case of an emergency.
